The Civil Process Division of the Polk County Sheriff's office has several duties on both the civil and the criminal side of the court system. This includes serving subpoenas that require appearance of subjects involved in criminal court cases. The civil side also logs into the Sheriff's Office computer system child support papers and civil papers that have been served or are waiting to be served. Papers that are involved on the civil side of the court system include: civil summons and complaints, writs of possession, writs of esecution, and also the magistrate's summons for summary electments along with monies owed.
The numbers of these papers continues to increase as time passes, which is reflected in the number of forclosures the Civil Process Division has to deliver across Polk County. We strive to be as knowledgable about these papers as possible with the training provided. Please contatct us with any questions you may have.
