The Polk County Sheriff's Office mourns the loss of K-9 Trixie who passed away on March 15, 2013.

Trixie served the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office for 9 years and for the last year has served the Polk County Sheriff's Office with K-9 Handler Deputy Ronnie Russell.  During her year of service Trixie seized over $35,000 in drug money.
